Power play

I'm super stoked about going to a hockey game this Sunday! I've been wanting to go watch a game for months now, and the Ducks schedule and mine finally match up to allow me to go watch Bobby Ryan score a hat trick against the Dallas Stars. I'm going with a friend, and this will be her first hockey game ever, it's going to be great! I bought the tickets through the USC hockey team (yes, USC has a hockey team), so I will be seated among fellow Trojans. This is especially important because my friend is on call this weekend and there is a chance that she might have to leave early from the game, or even worse not go to the game if she gets called in. Regardless, I will be at the game, but will I go alone or with my friend? We shall see...

Funny enough, I don't remember writing the last post. Actually the funnier part is that I didn't even drink all that much. So yes, I admit it, I'm a light weight, but enough on that.

I had a great weekend! But I would rather not go into details, they may incriminate me later, or even worse, make me realize how ridiculous and care free I've been lately.

Mums the word pt 2

I don't make sense, I know I don't. But I just need to say he was gorgeous! He leaves on Wednesday but that doesn't make him any less attractive. He's British you see...I've noticed that most British guys are incredibly good looking, if they are not good looking, than they still definitely have an accent to die for! I just need to say that the local scene will be lonely without our English speaking cousins.

So impossible

Not only is the title of this post one of my favorite Dashboard Confessional songs, but it is what I wonder to myself. Are things possible, or are they so impossible? We will see. It is a matter of time before we will see everything. It looks like lunch tomorrow, but if that doesn't work out let us hope Sunday at 4 does! I really don't even know what to think. This was a great night, even though it didn't start off as such. Its been a while, so I'd like to stay positive, but there is the chance of everything negative materializing. Until then, I'll dream of things so impossible...

Food wars

Anyone who has spent time with a kid during meal time has perhaps come to notice that kids are extremely picky about what they eat. If by some miracle they are not picky eaters then you may find that they have like some odd food combination. Call them brave or inventive, these are some of the food combinations I have seen*

• pickle juice and popcorn
• adding sugar to frosted flakes
• a can of chicken noodle without water
• ketchup on a bologna sandwich
• ketchup on over easy eggs
• chocolate milk and tortilla chips
• french fries and mayonnaise

*I understand this list is bias because these food combinations appear strange if not disgusting to me, but they may be normal or delicious to others

It amazes me how fast time goes by, considering that I haven't written in about a week. Which mean I didn't tell about my weekend. Which by the way was amazing! My friend and I laugh because we now have a usual routine, which works for us....and very well too I may add. Weekend retold bullet style.

Friday

• Chili's Bar &Grill
• ate boneless buffalo wings
• drank a classic margarita on the rocks
• Went to a local bar
• Ran into people I hadn't seen since high school
• Drank a bunch
• 2 Budweisers
• 2 red bulls and vodka
• rum and coke
• Met British boys
• boys were from Wales
• fell in love with English accents

Saturday (was the DD for the night)

• Applebees
• ate a chicken caesar salad
• drank lemonade
• Tried a new bar (it was lame)
• classic margarita on the rocks
• Went back to bar from night before

• Saw and had a long chat with a former crush
• Friend decided to switch roles and became new DD (whoo!)

• these boys were from Bristol
• love for English accents, reaffirmed

I had so much fun! And my recent encounter with our English speaking cousins from across the pond has made me want to travel to Europe so much more! I dare say, I'm quite fond of accents now :D
