I realize that I have not written in a while. This is because I feel like I have nothing to write. Since finishing
my 30 day challenge I feel like I can no longer think of things to write about on my own. This is the problem sometimes when your creativity and imagination are restricted. Ugh, writers block...
So instead of writing I will post a couple of drawings I've done recently
Compared to two years ago, I would say I've gotten better.

30 day blog challenge cont. Day 30
Day 30 - Hopes, dreams and plans for the next 365 days*
Well my new years resolution this year was to make 2011 my best year ever, and I think that so far I have made pretty concrete steps towards actually sticking to this years resolution. I have relearned to be a little carefree and laugh at the absurdities of life, rather than fret over them. I think this new attitude looks better on me, and not to mention I find myself taking pleasure in the smaller things in life. So for the next 365 days, I plan to keep doing what I've been doing, and ceasing the day, every day!
* I realize this is coming a little late, but better late than never

30 day blog challenge cont. Day 29
Day 29 - 5 of your biggest pet peeves
1. Mispronouncing my name - I'm a little use to it now but it still bothers me. My name is spelled Kylah, so then why would people pronounce it Kayla? This happens mostly where I live, because in general Caucasians are really good about the correct pronunciation
2. Straw biters - especially if we are sharing a drink
3. Making two trips - if I have groceries in my car, I would rather make one uncomfortable trip carrying 10 bags at once, rather than making 2-3 lighter trips
4. Incorrect uses in grammar - blame my teachers, because I'm a stickler for grammar and correct word usage. Oh, and for the millionth time you can not itch an itch!
5. Washing dishes with dried food - this just grosses me out! I don't see why people can't just rinse their plates/bowls after they use them

Ahoy
It's been about a week since I last posted and I realize that I did not officially finish my 30 blog challenge. But, please do excuse my negligence, I have been busy trying to make the most out of this past week. To make a short story shorter, I met a guy, his name is Mike, he's in the Navy, and he's a blast to hang out with. In any case he was only here for two weeks and I spent this past week spending as much time with him as I could, because he left back to Virginia this morning.
In other news, I've been a little under the weather and am currently trying to prevent coughing up a lung. I promise to catch up within the next day or so.

30 day blog challenge cont. Day 28
Day 28 - An animal you'd love to keep as a pet
I'd love to keep a king penguin as a pet. I think penguins are adorable, and they look like friendly playful birds. I don't know anything about their true temperament but never the less I think they would make a cool pet (no pun intended). Maybe my penguin would dance with me like the penguins did in Mary Poppins; in that case I would need three.

30 day blog challenge cont. Day 27
Day 27 - A photo of you and your family
This picture was taken May '09. It's probably one of the only pictures that I have/can find of my family together. My parents haven't been together since I was in 5th grade, needless to say they don't get along. So the fact that this moment was captured (my graduation from USC with a Bachelors in Psychology) is remarkable. I know my family is extremely proud of me, haha don't let the smiles fool you, there was arguing and drama right up until we took this picture. I guess a picture really is worth a thousand words.

When you wish upon a star
Wishes are funny things. We often spend our time wishing for things we don't have. However, if we are ever fortunate enough to have our wishes granted, we sometimes find that what we asked for isn't exactly what we wanted or received it when we wanted it. American society is consumed with wanting it all and we allow ourselves to overlook and not truly appreciate what we do have.
This is currently my dilemma. Wishes granted, not exactly what I expected and not granted at the best time. My mom has always told me to "be careful what you wish for because you just might get it, and when you do, you may no longer want it." I hate to admit it but my mom is right.

30 day blog challenge cont. 25
Day 25 - A photo of an item you last purchased
I've been trying to get back into the habit of always carrying gum. When I first got my car I always had gum, and I loved it, but then it just sort of stopped. Anyway, today I bought 5 gum in the Prism which is this delicious watermelon flavor.

30 day blog challenge cont. Day 24
Day 24 - Whatever tickles your fancy
So basically the one day that I can write about anything I want, I find that I can't. My head is definitely somewhere else, thinking about other things but I will try my absolute hardest to get myself back on track.
Okay, I'm going to answer 5 random questions. I used this list, and had my dad randomly choose 5 numbers (6, 32, 41, 43, 22).
1. Are you wearing socks right now?
No, I'm not currently wearing socks. Actually I usually only where socks when I wear sneakers.
2. What do you want to know about the future?
Okay, I'm going to define the future as 30 years from now when I'll be 54. I'd like to know if everything turns out okay. I don't need specifics, I'd like those to be a surprise, I would just want to know if I'm happy and okay.
3. Last time you got stopped by a cop or pulled over?
It was last February/March. My car was new and I didn't have my license plates yet, but I think I had come home for the weekend and it had rained so when I went back to LA my car was filthy. The cop pulled me over because I didn't have a license plate, but let me go after he saw the sticker on the windshield. I guess new cars can't be dirty.
4. What does your last text message say?
Last text message was from Mike at 9:51 and he said "Yea" This was in response to my question, "will you call me?"
5. Worst injury you've ever had?
I'd have to say back in April after I was hit by a car while riding my bike. I'd rather not relive the details but you can read about it, dated 4/14/10 appropriately titled Worst Day EVER! Yeah, although nothing was broken I had bruising and pain in my left foot for months. I also have a bunch of pictures from my foot taken almost daily to show the healing process. I don't remember for how long I took the pictures, and I actually haven't seen them in order so maybe I should do that soon. But, definitely my worst injury.

Get a grip part II
A couple of days ago I wrote about my lack of mental clarity and concentration. I couldn't make sense of my thoughts, any of my thoughts. Well now there's a whole new set of thoughts, and although I can make sense of these thoughts, I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do about them. Like at the root of most feminine problems, there is a guy involved. What do I do? I'm on the fence, literally suck in the middle. To be perfectly honest this shouldn't be hard, there is a simple solution, that is actually not so simple for me. I have found myself in last few months constantly struggling with what I should do, and what is easiest to do. In many ways there is beauty in simplicity, don't you think? Well, I'm sure I'll figure it out, but if not, then I'm positive I'll be back shortly.
