Mr. Donald Fauntleroy Duck
I love obscure, lesser loved Disney characters. Now although Donald is by no means obscure or unloved, most people are unaware he has his own theme song. I love it, and find myself singing it from time to time.

Birthday season
I love the holiday season. I think my favorite part though is when everyone asks me about Christmas presents and I, with a smug look on my face say, "you know what's after Christmas right?" Growing up I didn't like my birth date much, four days after Christmas and two days before the New Year, I'm a holiday sandwich. But now I think my birth date is perfect and love the atmosphere I'm able to celebrate it in. Sure my Christmas/birthday gifts may be combined BUT they tend to be pretty amazing. I also get to enjoy my age for an entire calendar year...I mean I'm aware everyone does, but mine is basically January - December. Sixteen more days until my birthday, I can't wait :)

Grrr
Am I short tempered? I don't consider myself as such, but it's days like today that make me wonder how it's possible for others to annoy me THIS much, this early in the day. It is also days like today that remind me of some things that make my blood boil. Here's a list of 5 of my pet peeves.
1) People who don't know when to drop an argument - This is/was the problem today. I don't understand why someone would continue to bring something up that there is nothing we can do about now, and it really wasn't that big of a deal in the first place. Sure, sometimes I like to argue for the sake of arguing, and it may seem like I'm picking a fight, but I know when to quit. I know when to walk away and hold my tongue. Lucky for me I am able to get over things relatively fast, so once I've had time to cool off, I'm okay.
2) Straw biters - Nothing bothers me more than sharing a drink with someone and they go and bite the straw. Most little kids are guilty of this, but by now any kid I'm willing to share my drink with is well aware they are not allowed to bite the straw. On rare occasion I am guilty of this myself, but it's usually when I'm feeling anxious, besides, it's my drink I can do whatever I want with it.
3) Liars - I don't mean so much people who make up lies about themselves, but those who say they are going to do something and don't follow through. I think this bothers me so much because I tend to get my hopes up about certain things relatively quickly, so when they don't happen I get pretty sad more than anything else.
4) TOMS shoes - I wrote an entire blog post about this, I can't describe my dislike for TOMS enough. Even now I can't think of anything to say about TOMS that is not vulgar or obscene....I really, Really, REALLY HATE these shoes.
5) Strangers who sit/park next to you/your car in a otherwise empty movie theater/parking lot - I've had this happen to me more than once, and boy does it piss me off!! I've gone to the movie theaters a few times where me and whoever I'm with are literally the only people there. But sometimes during the previews a couple or two might trickle in, and with the ENTIRE theater open to them, they decide to sit, not only in the row we are sitting in, but only a few seats down OR directly in front of us....WHY?!? Why would you ever do this? Out of all the seats available to you why come and sit near me? Now I can't watch the movie in peace because all I want to do is either kick the back of your seat, throw popcorn in your direction, or talk loudly throughout the movie. BUT this is only if the theater is empty, if there are more than 10 people present, by all means go ahead and sit in my row.

Nope never! I always end up telling someone, that's something I can't keep in.

Both my grandfathers are, my grandmothers passed away in 1989 and 2004
8) Who is the last person you called?
My grandpa to open the front door...I really should put my house key on my car key ring
9) Will you ever go sky diving?
Hell yes!! I'd go tomorrow if I had the money and someone to go with
10) What movie do you know every line to?
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971), and I quote it all the time!
11) Do you have laundry to do?
Of course I do, it's never ending. It litterally feels like there is always laundry to do
12) What is your favorite dessert?
Cheesecake, hands down!
13) Have you ever caught a fish?
Yes! And I absolutely love to go fishing, it's one of my favorite things ever
14) Have you ever eaten a crayon?
Not that I'm aware of, but I have licked play-doh a couple of times :\

Haha no, that's like asking me to choose my favorite Disney movie, it can't be done! I love my eyes, I love my lips, I think I have a cute nose....I just love my face!

Toss up between a penguin, polar bear, and dolphin
17) Are you wearing any perfume?
Yes I am, and I smell lovely.
18) Do you know how to ballroom dance?
No, but it is on my bucket list to learn....but seeing as I've never slow danced I think this one is going to take awhile
19) Where you a responsible child/teenager?
Indeed! Super duper responsible, in many ways I was a parents dream
20) Are you shy?
I think I am, but others will tell you I'm most definitely not. Depends on circumstances I guess, because I have absolutely no problem talking to strangers

Lip balm!!! Definitely, I apply and reapply about a million times a day.

I'm a hopeless romantic, of course I do! I believe in happy endings.

Only always! I'm a pickle fiend!

Chins and shoulders. I can't explain it at all, cleft/slightly pronounced chins or/and strong shoulders make me melt!

I remember the first time I saw you. It was a warm November day, and as soon as I walked into the store, you caught my eye, like a cute puppy in the window I just had to pick you up, I wanted to play with you and love you forever. So I left the T-Mobile store that day with you in my hand, and a big smile on my face because you belonged to me. We were inseparable, and our future was so bright, armed hand and screen I felt we could have conquered the world. We celebrated our second anniversary last month and it was definitely a milestone for us both. But I have to say it dear android, I don't think there we will see a third one together. You see you changed, for months now I've seen a different side of you, you've become jealous. This isn't a new problem for us, we almost parted ways earlier this year but I was commited to you and we were able to work through it. And for a while you were you again, bright and happy, and committed to me, but now you're worse than ever. You don't like for me to search for new things/places, you refuse to give me my messages most of the time, and you make it nearly impossible for me to talk to others. I will admit that because of this, I treat you badly, I slap you around, drop you, and threaten to harm you frequently. What happened to us? More like, what happened to you? I have remained lovable, and carefree, but you try my patience daily. So I want to tell you, that I'm going to move on, I honestly don't know how much longer I can continue this way. Hello creeper, goodbye peace
Dear old creepy guy who was trying to chat me up tonight (otherwise known as Will),
It was very kind of you to swap seats so my friend and I could sit together, but it wasn't necessary to try and make small talk to my friend to get information about me. There was no need for you to know my name, or what I was drinking for that matter. I thank you for talking to my friend though while I caught up will Hall, but even she was creeped out by you and moved. Then when Hall went to the restroom, there was no need for you to lean over the empty chair where my friend once sat to ask me where my friend went, what was with me and "the guy with the hat," then conclude by asking me if I was single. Because of this I had to pretend to go to the restroom and afterwards find another place to be. Then later as I was walking by, there was no need for you to grab my arm to ask me where I was going, I told you I was going to look for my friend but the truth is I just wanted to get away from you. I don't really understand how you didn't get the hint, and it was completely unnecessary for you to come up to my friend and I at closing and put your arm around us while you rambled on one God knows what.
Sorry Will, but it would have never worked out. Maybe on a good day you are a somewhat normal guy (I doubt it), but I didn't find you the least big attractive. Now I am not a shallow person Will, but I need to find a potential date/boyfriend/whatever at least somewhat attractive. Sorry you wasted your time. You might have had better luck talking to that one big girl with curly hair, but unfortunately I've seen her out many times and she tends to get attractivish guys. So until next time Will, though I hope I never run into you again, or at least I find another male friend to keep you away from me.

How quickly things change
On this day exactly a year ago I wrote my bucket list. I woke up one Dec 1, 2010 with so much enthusiasm, so much optimism, and such a thirst to enjoy life, as I had never felt before. This time last year I wasn't in the best of places, I was still staggering from a 5 year relationship that ended in the blink of an eye, where I felt blind sided...in a moment my life and change, and it wasn't until this day last year, I decided to do something about it.
If I could only go back and talk to myself then, help dig myself out of the hole which I was trapped in. Oh the things I would tell myself...which others told me, but never seemed possible...but they are. Everything everyone said was true, everything my family said while they dried my eyes was absolutely true. But I guess it's something you need to realize for yourself.
I never thought I was going to be happy again, but I find myself now happier than ever before! I felt like the world had ended, and yet it is proven to me day by day that it has not. I thought I'd never meet anyone again, and yet I've meet so many utterly amazing people. Lastly, I never thought I'd have fun again, I never thought my life would be anything other than gloom and misery, BUT that has to be the biggest pack of lies ever! My New Years resolution to make 2011 my best year ever has so far been a complete success. I've done so much!! I've seen so much! I've had more fun this past year than I can remember having in such a long time, and the best part is that I still have a whole month to enjoy it.
I am blessed. I am truly and utterly blessed, to have in my life the people I do. To be able to experience the things that I have. To be able to look forward to the wonderful direction my life is going in. So to those in my life, whether I've known you for years, or met you yesterday, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, you've helped me shape who I am today.
